IRRADIATOR USE
Prior to accessing an irradiator, a number of steps must be completed to establish "trustworthiness & reliability" and to be trained on the equipment and your obligations as an approved user of the unit.  To begin this process, please contact the RSO via email at radsafe@iupui.edu to obtain a Request for Unrestricted Access form.  Additional steps will be required after this form has been received.

RRSC & RDRC MEETINGS
The Radionuclide Radiation Safety Committee (RRSC) is the administrative body responsible of the safe handling of radioactive materials within the University. The Radioactive Drug Research Committee (RDRC) is responsible for the utilization of radioactive materials in human research subjects for the purpose of obtaining basic information regarding human physiology, pathophysiology, or biochemistry, but not intended for immediate therapeutic, diagnostic, or similar purposes or to determine the safety and effectiveness of a drug in humans. The committee members meet at least four times a year.
