3. Requesting Pick-up
Prior to requesting a pick-up, lab personnel should verify that all waste containers are closed and tagged and that the Shipping Paper (A-9 form) is complete. Because storage space and pick-up time is limited, only full containers (at least three quarters full) are allowed for pick-up. If an experiment uses high activities but generates low volume waste, the RSO should be contacted to determine if an increase in possession limit or another arrangement is appropriate.
To begin the scheduling process, lab personnel should complete the Waste Pick-up Request form. The request may then be processed by any of the following methods:
Since a timely delivery by campus mail cannot be guaranteed, such requests will not be accepted.
